The Purple Cow

Anyone who has looked into marketing knows about the 4 P's. Or maybe its 5 P's: Product, Pricing, Position, Promotion, Publicity, etc. I started reading a new book called "Purple Cow" by Seth Godin which is about the new P. This new P came about because the old ways of advertising are proving less and less efficient. This new P is the "Purple Cow."

My Experiences Working at SoCal Edison

2008 was a rather slow year for jobs. Northrop Grumman wasn't hiring any new interns. Raytheon seemed to only hire a small few. RTG, the place I interned at last summer, couldn't afford any interns this year. The economy had a few hick-ups to go through. But, out of the blue, SoCal Edison got in touch with me. I honestly didn't expect it since I figured Edison would only want Power Engineers or Civil Engineers or something more down to earth than an Electrical Engineer who studies abstract theory all day.

My Experiences with PPC and Google

PPC stands for Pay Per Click and it is one of the driving forces behind the internet. Many people say "Google is just a great search engine, email service, map; that is why they are great."
